Pay Road Tax & Check Vehicle Tax Status Online
Road tax (Motor Vehicle Tax) is a one-time or annual tax paid to the state government. The Vahan (Parivahan) portal allows online road tax payment and RC renewal. Penalty for delayed payment is 1–2x the tax amount.
Go to vahan.parivahan.gov.in > Online Services > Pay Your Tax.
Enter vehicle registration number and chassis/engine number for verification.
See pending road tax amount, penalties if any, and payment deadline.
Pay via net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI on the portal.
Download tax payment receipt as PDF. Keep for RC renewal and vehicle transfer.
