MGNREGA Job Card — 100 Days Guaranteed Employment
MGNREGS guarantees 100 days of unskilled manual work per year to every rural household. If work is not provided within 15 days of demand, unemployment allowance is paid directly to the bank account.
Apply at gram panchayat with Aadhaar, photo, and address proof.
Job card issued within 15 days with household member details.
Submit written application to gram panchayat demanding employment. Keep a copy.
Panchayat allocates work within 5 km of residence within 15 days.
Wages deposited to bank account within 15 days of work completion.
Varies by state: ₹210–₹374/day. Updated annually by Ministry of Rural Development.
Unemployment allowance paid: 1/4 of wage rate for first 30 days, 1/2 thereafter.
