The Electors' Photo Identity Card (EPIC) or Voter ID is issued by the Election Commission of India. It is used as proof of identity and allows citizens to vote in state and national elections.
Visit voterportal.eci.gov.in or download the Voter Helpline App.
Fill Form 6 for new voter registration with personal and address details.
Upload age proof, address proof, and photograph.
Submit the form and note your reference ID for tracking status.
EPIC card is dispatched or you can download e-EPIC from the portal.
Yes, ECI allows 12 alternative documents (Aadhaar, Passport, Driving License etc.) for voting. But Voter ID is the primary ID.
Fill Form 8A (within same constituency) or Form 6 (new constituency) on voterportal.eci.gov.in.
e-EPIC is a digital version of Voter ID in PDF format that can be downloaded and stored on your phone, equally valid for identification.
